Believing That Marriage Is a Covenant Relationship
and that God intends for it to reflect His promise to never leave us or forsake us, we,
Joshua Andrew Borening and Autumn Leigh Essaxary,
solemnly pledge, by God’s grace, to fulfill our marriage vows.

I, Joshua, take you, Autumn to be my wife.
With deepest joy, I receive you that together we
may be one. As Christ is to His church, so my desire
is to be to you, a loving and faithful husband. By
His grace, I will live first unto God rather than
others or even you. As Christ leads me, I desire to
lead you, knowing that His leadership is one of the
holiest desires of my life. With God‘s guidance by
His Spirit through the Word, no matter what may
lie ahead of us, I pledge to you my life, even unto
death, as a loving and faithful husband. 

I, Autumn, take you, Josh, to be my husband.
With deepest joy I come to you, that together we
may be one. As you have pledged to me your life,
I also give you mine and in confidence submit
myself to your leadership as to the Lord. As the
church is in her relationship to Christ, so I desire
to be to you. Josh, I will live first unto our God
and then unto you; loving you, encouraging you,
and caring for you. Therefore, no matter what may
lie ahead of us, I pledge to you my life, even unto
death, as an obedient and faithful wife. 

As family, friends, and witnesses of this marriage covenant, we commit to hold you accountable,
encourage you, and lead you to Christ who is the most pure example of love and faithfulness.
